Watchmen!

Sat Mar 7, 2009, 7:06 PM
  • Mood: Artistic
  • Listening to: people dying in an RPG
  • Reading: homework
  • Watching: people playing Deadlands: Hell on Earth
Okay, so maybe I should've posted this last night while I was sleep deprived and had just gotten back from seeing the epic awesomeness of Watchmen.

I was blown away. Truly blown away. It was AMAZING and incredibly true to the book. Like, I could pick out lines that were straight from the book. That was partially due to my having read it for the first time just earlier yesterday, but whatever. Still so awesome.

I mean, sure I wasn't overly comfortable with the gore, but that's just me. I thought it was the right amount for this film. The sex...well...did we really need to see that much?

But, whatever. So freaking awesome.

I am going to see it again. And everyone else should see it too!

WHO WATCHES THE WATCHMEN?
We do, of course. ;D On the big screen.

uggh i hated it. mostly because it was TOO true to the book (i mean, come on), that i felt like there was no character that was worth saving. at the end, i was like "what's the point. why save the world when they didn't show us anyone that was worth saving. they sure TOLD us that there were people worth saving, but where did was see it?" i thought it was a bad case of telling vs showing.

i like "the dark knight" so much better. because they showed us the people who are worth it, despite their flaws.

uggh and it was too 1980s. lol can you believe it's me who's saying that?

--Di Vinci of your time?
--That's ridiculous. I don't paint.

You and my friend in class hated it so. XD;

I don't know, I really really enjoyed it, but I'm a fan of books over movies in general...maybe that was why?

I think I liked this better than Dark Knight though. >>;

Have you ever hurt so much inside, that you went to such lengths as to shut out all your emotions to the world and become a robot? [link]

...it's in theaters now. >>; Go see it.

Based on the 12 issues run 1986-1987 by DC comics.

I would say that everyone should be familiar with 'em at the least. ^^; And Watchmen is just the 12 chapters, no over-arching things.
